We can help with any and all elements of children's learning from ages 3-14 however, our tutors have all completed degrees in a subject that they are passionate about and so love to support GSCE, AS and A-Level specific subjects too. The subjects that we can help with vary according to tutor's specialisms so please do ask about these.
The time we spend with your child usually follows a tutorial structure that works in alignment with the goals set out in the British National Curriculum, Early Years Foundation Stage or a subject's exam board. We have carefully created programs that target each of these goals, to ensure that we are providing support that really does what it ought to.
Sessions may also be play or socially focused, with less emphasis on curriculum, however, we still keep children's developmental goals in mind and work towards these; we're focused on child development and actively guide your child through these stages.

WHO IS LILIUM?
I established Lilium Education in 2015 after working in schools for over 6 years and finding that one-to-one and small group tuition was so much more successful and enjoyable for all. Since then, I have worked with students of all ages, abilities and goals; from Nursery to A-Level and beyond, and across a range of educational needs.
As well as extensive experience, I hold an MSc (Distinction) in Special & Inclusive Education from the UCL Institute of Education, a PGCert in Emotional Factors in Learning and Teaching from The Tavistock & Portman NHS Foundation Trust, and a BSc in Marine Biology (Honours).

"In creating Lilium Education, I want to provide an environment that supports learning in the most successful way. One that leads to successful assimilation and recall of knowledge; that offers an enjoyable and engaging experience; that lays multi-faceted appreciations that promote positive expectations and interactions in life; that minimises learning-related stress and anxiety; and ultimately, teaching that is suitable to the individual child and their needs. No compromise. That means putting each child’s learning at the centre of all objectives. It means utilising the most appropriate resources. It means supporting and communicating clearly with parents so that they can facilitate their child’s learning. An holistically balanced and positive approach that provides all the necessary elements to support the journey of successful learning."

WHAT DOES LILIUM DO?
Lilium provides bespoke support for all learning and development, from infants to adults. This means that there is no fixed program or schedule to sign up to - a strategy is developed in response to your needs and goals. This is not only the best approach for each individual's learning, but it's also the most interesting way to teach and you can be sure you're getting the best value for money! So, whatever concerns you have about yours or your child's learning, do get in touch and I'll happily talk through options with you.

What Lilium does can be roughly categorised according to the below groups, however, I'm experienced in many areas: the UK National (and some International-) curriculums at Early Years, Primary and Secondary school level; preparing for top-level exams (including 11+, GCSE and A-Level); Special Educational Needs (particularly Dyslexia, ASD and ADHD); Infant sensory development and adult/ life-long learning.
I'm also really passionate about learning for fun and run a number of extra-curricular clubs and workshops both during term time and during the school holidays.
Individual or group sessions solidify curriculum knowledge & develop exam technique. Including 7+, 11+, 13+, SATS, Common Entrance, GCSE/iGCSE, A-Levels, IELTS
Informal small group sessions provide an opportunity to develop listening and discussion skills as well as a love of learning and thinking.
Held throughout the holidays, these are sociable and enjoyable opportunities to study topics in a less formal way than the curriculum usually allows.

WHY IS LILIUM SPECIAL?
ENTIRELY UNIQUE PLANNING
After a thorough induction period where I really get to know my students, I create a personalised Education Plan that sets out unique goals, methods that we'll use to target those and a personalised plan of activities.

ONLINE & RECOMMENDED RESOURCES
All tutorial planning and activities are shared online, using a private folder on OneDrive - these may be printed or used digitally. Tailor-made suggestions for helpful resources may also be offered (I've tried and tested many of the resources out there, both online and in the shops, and know exactly which ones are the most successful and enjoyable), however, extra costs are kept down for clients and so there will never be essential purchases.

ONGOING ASSESSMENT, FEEEDBACK & REVIEW
I never stop assessing whether the agreed program is proving successful: I work so closely with your child that every tutorial provides an opportunity to see if they're successfully learning and enjoying the sessions. I feedback to parents continuously and provide detailed written reports twice per year, with changes being made to the program as required.

FLEXIBLE & RELIABLE
I try my best to fit in with your schedule and can usually rearrange sessions when something unexpected comes up, and I can be available over the weekends and through the school holidays too.
